Daisys Milkbar is a 50s-themed, quaint but retro diner in Sydney’s inner west. Complete with collections of our favourite childhood sweets, as well as a self-serve cordial station, Daisy’s is the type of place you fall in love with.
The Milkbar is known for its shakes and sundaes, but the menu also features trendy, savoury dishes like the (smashed) Avo Toast or the Toasted Muesli. The price is extremely reasonable and the service is super friendly and quick. However, try to avoid peak times since Daisy’s is fairly small and tends to get very, very busy!
Our Experience: We ordered Daisy’s Breakfast ($19), which included a generous serving of beans, fresh avocado, eggs the way you like, potato gems, roast tomato, amazing grainy, seeded toast, and a choice of bacon or haloumi. This dish was big enough to fill two of us, and had a really refreshing home-cooked feel to it. It went perfectly with the cappuccino we ordered and the Milo Deluxe Shake, which took our tastebuds back to primary school years – so delicious! We’d love to go back and try the other Milkshakes, and maybe get a lolly bag to go. We’ll be surprised if you don’t fall in love too.
